Controlled Burning

Controlled Burning Regulations:

Before perfoming any type of controlled burn please read over the rules and regulations for controlled open burning according to County Resolution. If you are wanting to have a controlled burn you will need to check the Rangleland Index and the Windspead before contacting the closet county fire department in your jursidiction.

Information that the department will need is:

- Name

- Phone Number

- Address

- What you are burning

- What time you are starting

- Please call back when you have completed the burn.

Categories for Rangeland Index

Extreme - No Burning

Very High - No Burning

High - Burning not recommended, but allowed dependant on wind speed, contents and supervision.

Moderate - burning allowed dependant on wind speed, contents and supervision.

Low - Burning allowed
